Does anyone have information about the omega 3 contraversy? Some are saying that the ratio between omega 6 and omega 3 is what matters, and that fish oil is a better source than flax oil. D'Adamo endorses flax oil, but does he address this contraversy? Is it different depending on blood group?

moRe: omega 3s
Tue, June 5, 2007 - 9:32 PMI just heard on the radio today (KPFA, Lana Berman) that not everyone's body can obtain the benefit of the omegas from flax oil, whereas apparently everyone benefits from fish oil-based supplements/oils.
That's all I know; check out the KPFA archives to listen to the full program for the word from the horse's mouth, so to speak.

Re: omega 3s
Sat, June 9, 2007 - 9:03 AMI have found the forums on his website to have a wealth of information.
You can ask really specific questions and you often get specific answers.
Here's the address: www.dadamo.com/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl
Hope this helps.
In my opinion, unless you have a fish or flax allergy, why not include both? Both super yummy ways to get those essential fatty acids.
I also believe, that since type A's have a tendancy towards 'thick blood', that the omega's from fish would be best, since they thin the blood. But I'm an O, living with an O, so I could be mistaken, living in my O world and all...
