the only way you will really know is to try it. i find i feel 100 percent better..being a type A myself...i limit myself for the most part to one or two serving of fish and possibly one of chicken per month and even this is too much ,,menaing that it does drag me down. and since i am trying to lose weight i limit my grain intake and almost zilch dairy. It 's not easy and I've had several failed attempts all proving to me that vegetarian is the only way to go for me and this time Im sticking to my guns andit is working. I do tske other supplements especially a super green pre-digested drink and certsain herbs to help with bile and digestion.. but since i've given up meat meaning beef and other red etc I've lost 20 lbs in two months...

I am so jealous of Type A's...I was a vegetarian when I started this change, but I'm a Type O. Damn...red meat and weightlifting...hehe

I would much rather have responded to a vegetarian diet and a healthy dose of yoga...

well the grass is always greener.... I always wanted to be type b so i coud eat cheese.....but you do have a problem now that it has been proven all supermarket meat is bogus and i will use the term dangerous because even for a type A without the usually genetic enzymes that should be present in it it is undigestible and can still cause problems.

I hope you can find some way to join with some others and buy large quantities of grasss fed beef, lamb, chicken etc. they have 'cow shares' in the mid west where groups buy a whole side of beef for instance and then divide up among them selves.

Ive given up grains due to GMO and mostly because i cant lose weight eating them.

But you can still eat vegetables . and another tribe clued me into a seneca indian diet of just eating say all vegetables one dy all fruit another and i suppose all grain another,,,i think meat ought to be eaten with something like tomatoes ,,,dont know but sure do know vegetables all day long and nothing else is heaven not even hungry, fruit day was good too.

Yes, you can't know until you try it. I suggest being fairly strict about it for 2 months. You should know after that if the diet helps you. After that, you can choose how strict you want to be about it. Convenience and enjoyment are also factors for me, but I continue to benefit from my knowledge of the blood type diet. It's awesome.

    well I think so.

I have spent over 20 years moving gradually from a student-hippie- to vegetarian-macrobiotic-diamond diet and have crystallized out several thruths for my own body from that. Last year I discovered blood type diets, and found, lone behold: All that I ended up doing or leaving due to how my body resonds to it, was written in my Blood type diet. I was pretty astonished.

I am still new to it, havent thoroughly studied it, but stick to the bulk of shoulds and should nots..

I have solved hay fever, constipation, overweight for many years now, but I have to add Ive also had accupuncture, which I think did help. But over 20 years, accupuncture would only give temporary relief, and I attribute my success mainly to my diet,- which it turns out is basically my blood type diet. I still need to cut out one or two things.. and I might improve on my results still.

I certainly can give it a thumbs up and say: go for it!

      Jana,

I also made changes to my diet that agreed with the Type A prescription before I even read the book! One of the strangest things is that I knew oranges were bad for me years before I discovered the BTD!

David: yeah, for me it was butter, soft cheeses, red meat, I always knew I cant eat them ..but what was peculiar, is that after eight years of a vegetarian, organic, almost vegan, no salt no sugar diet, I decided to start drinking coffee with a passion, at the age of 35!- that certainly puzzled a few of my health food friends.. but after reading that type A can drink coffee, (and I believe my body actually does well with it) I feel a little less odd about it.

I feel sore that I am not supposed to eat pistachio nuts,..how can a person not eat pistachio nuts?!- oh well, I ll get over it.
